Interesting read, makes a better case than the counterpoint. this strikes me as similar to white whale hunting in the beer community. there's only so much of the extra special to go around, meanwhile there is plenty of good product.

ReplyDeleteI was there a couple of weeks ago. It was a nice place but the whiskey was pretty expensive.
ReplyDeleteI usually drink at home, so not sure what reasonable is for whisky at a bar. The first tier scotch flight was solid, think it was $20. Total volume probably was close to two drams, across four glasses. Nice way to try a variety
